So many years ago, in the year 2012, I released a Flash game (which was the style at the time), the infamous Orange Roulette. It achieved a bit of notice, and over the years it just seemed to ... stick around. It's been a popular subject for gameplay videos, especially among YouTubers that are prone to jumpiness, while at the same time remaining below the mainstream radar. It was originally conceived as a joke and a dare -- demonstrating that you can make a game about anything.
Flash forward to 2023, and after much internal debate, discussions with family members, my pastor (just kidding), I finally decided to remake it. Either remake it or make a true sequel I have an idea for. Either way, it was gonna be about oranges in peril.
Of course, after 13 odd years, somebody was bound to make their own popular roulette game! It's cool. It's not like I invented the genre. I only invented oranges, which didn't exist as a fruit until 2012.
So here we are! 1.0 of the new Orange Roulette is complete and on itch.io! I have plans for several more modes to spice things up, which will be added soon. Currently you can enjoy the classic gameplay of blasting a banana into your own or your opponent's head.
